Maybe you've been a resident for a while and you're in search of some new resources. Whichever description fits you, we've assembled a handy guide to the best features of your Springs at Corpus Christi neighborhood.

Libraries

The Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Public Library is named after a beloved local physician and community advocate. In addition to books and reference material, the library offers book clubs, classes and workshops, children's programs and other free activities. You can also borrow in the comfort of your own home from their digital book catalog.

Schools

Corpus Christi Independent School District (CCISD) is the city's second largest employer. The Springs Corpus Christi neighborhood is served by Webb Elementary (6953 Boardwalk Avenue), Kaffie Middle (5922 Brockhampton Street) and Veterans Memorial High (3750 Cimarron). Storybooks School (5333 Yorktown) is a private Montessori-based preschool for kids from birth through age five.

Parks

When you want to enjoy some time outdoors, head for one of these nearby parks.

  • Bill Witt City Park (6869 Yorktown Boulevard) is home to FC Padre, a competitive soccer club for kids and teens.
  • Country Club Park (6400 Brisbane) is just over six acres with a backstop and playground.
  • The Corpus Christi Bay Trail is a nearly nine-mile stretch of biking and hiking paths alongside the scenic waterfront. There are opportunities along the way for bird-watching, picnicking, fishing, swimming and windsurfing.

Restaurants

Find everything from fine dining to ethnic cuisine to fast food.

  • Yalee's Asian Bistro (5649 Saratoga Boulevard) offers a pan-Asian menu including Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes.
  • Whataburger (two locations) is a popular Texas-based chain serving stacked burgers and other fast food favorites. The company is also a generous supporter of community causes.

  • Katz 21 Steak & Spirits (5702 Spohn Drive) is a classic steakhouse featuring dry-aged prime beef and fresh Gulf Coast seafood.

Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) provides bus transit for the local area. Buses feature bike racks so you can combine both eco-friendly modes of travel. Springs Corpus Christi is served by Route 26, with access to other lines at the Southside Transfer Station. Our community is also close to S. Staples Street and Saratoga Boulevard, two of the city's main thoroughfares.

The mall is anchored by national retailers Dillard's, Macy's and JCPenney. Specialty stores include Coach, White House Black Market and Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop.
