North Beach

This beach is quieter than some because it’s closed to traffic. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, making it an ideal day-long activity for families. The calm waters along North Beach make this spot especially nice when taking kids for a swim. Access is located at Surfside Boulevard.

McGee Beach

Located on the downtown seawall and within steps of good restaurants, this beach is ideal for children and for those who want to fish along the jetties. Closed to traffic, plenty of restrooms, and good parking make this one a must-see. Located at 222 Shoreline Boulevard.

Mustang Island Beaches

Part of Mustang Island State Park, 5 miles of beautiful coastline along Mustang Island are adjacent to campsites with RV hookups and bath/shower facilities, and paddling trails. One of the most popular spots for bird-watching. State park entry fees are required. Access located at Zahn Road.

Padre Island National Seashore

This attraction features the longest barrier island in the world. People visit so they can walk its sandy beaches, watch a wide assortment of birds, and windsurf. Key features include a visitor’s center (where you’ll find restrooms and a gift shop), nature-based activities, campsites and RV hookups available. Access located at Park Road.

Whitecap Beach

If a little peace and quiet are what you’re looking for, check out Whitecap Beach – it’s less crowded than others, making it the right spot when what you want is a relaxing escape. You’ll find long stretches where you’re the only one on the beach. Beach parking permit required. Access located off of Highway 361.

Padre Balli Park/Bob Hall Pier

Check this out if you’re in the mood for fishing off a long pier, or large waves ideal for some surfing. Amenities include parking lot and car-free beach zone, bathrooms, showers and picnic tables, and campsites and RV hookups. Access located at S. Padre Island Drive.

J.P. Luby Surf Park/North Packery Jetty

This is the place for young adults and teens, so adults beware! Lots of sun, surfing, volleyball and barbeques. Both surf and jetty fishing are done here, as well as a lot of socializing. Beach parking permit required. Access located at Laguna Shores Road.

There’s no place like Corpus Christi when it comes to fun in the sun, so pack a lunch, head for your favorite beach, and enjoy all that nature has given its residents!
