There's no feeling like gliding across the ice on a crisp but sunny Colorado day. The outdoor rink at Skyline Park in downtown Denver is open for ice skating through February 14, 2018 for all-ages. Hours are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily and admission is free. Skate rental is available for $6 – $8.

Loveland Ski Area

If states had official sports, Colorado's would be snow skiing. Loveland Ski Area's proximity to the greater Denver area makes it a popular location for winter fun. There are two separate base areas: the Valley is exclusively for beginners, while the Basin offers terrain for all levels of experience. Group and private lessons are available for ages 4 and up.
