The holiday season is officially here in full force! Here are five holiday events in Cincinnati convenient to Springs at Liberty Township and Springs at West Chester you'll want to be sure to add to your calendar:
1. Fountain Square Ice RinkThis outdoor ice skating rink is the perfect way to kickstart the holiday season. Skate rentals are available for just $4, and the experience is even more magical when you come on a Saturday or Sunday through Christmas between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to join Santa on the rink. The Fountain Square Ice Rink offers a full service bar and concession tent, and is also conveniently located near a number of restaurants and coffee shops, making it the perfect destination for a romantic date.
2. Cincinnati Zoo Festival of LightsThe Cincinnati Zoo Festival of Lights was recently voted the top place to see zoo lights in the country by USA Today. This will be the 34th year the zoo has been hosting this festival, which runs from Saturday, November 19 through Sunday, January 1.
In addition to offering more than 2.5 million LED lights, guests can experience a blacklight puppet show, ride the holiday train, search for fairies, see a spectacular light show on Swan Lake, make s'mores, and visit Santa. While regular admission is $16 for adults and $12 for children, Skyline Chili will be offering half price nights the weekends of November 28-30 and December 5-7.
3. Weekend Carriage Rides at Macy's Celebration StationCome take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the heart of Cincinnati courtesy of Macy's. The event will take place December 3 and 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. and noon to 5 p.m., with final boarding at 4:45 p.m. If you're planning to do this December 3, be sure to stick around for Macy's Downtown Dazzle at 5:45 p.m. on the corner of Fifth and Vine. Watch Santa rappel down the Huntington Center, listen to performances from local choirs, and enjoy all of the entertainment Fountain Square has to offer.
4. Polar Bear Express Via Pedal WagonLooking for an adult-friendly holiday event? You can experience a holiday-themed pub crawl through Cincinnati on a pedal wagon with wind-flaps. The stops feature holiday drink specials from some of Cincinnati's best bars. You won’t want to miss this unique way to experience the city and get into the holiday spirit!
5. Rudolph the Red Nosed ReindeerCome experience the musical version of the classic holiday tale Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on Friday, December 2 at 7 p.m. at the Arnoff Center. This beloved holiday tradition celebrates the misfit in all of us and is a wonderful way to get into the spirit. Ticket prices start at $32.
