Spring Activities Around DenverTime to put away the skis and snowboards. Spring has sprung in Denver, but that doesn't mean the fun is over. Make plans to enjoy some of these great spring activities near our Springs Denver luxury apartment communities.

1. Take in a Ball Game

The boys of summer are back! Cheer for the Colorado Rockies for their home games at Coors Field. After winning one of the Wild Card spots in 2017, the Rockies are looking to make a deeper run in the playoffs. Tickets start as low as $14, and the spring schedule includes special events ands giveaways.

2. Enjoy the Cool Sounds of Jazz

Denver's iconic Five Points neighborhood, once known as the Harlem of the West, is the site of an annual jazz festival each spring. Dozens of artists will perform on eight stages, and other attractions include food and beverage options and family-friendly activities. The free day-long festival takes place on Saturday, May 19 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and kicks off with a parade.

3. Explore a Museum

Sneak in some culture disguised as entertainment with a trip to one of Denver's incredible museums. Art and history are well-represented with some impressive museums, but there are also some quirky and offbeat facilities such as Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys.

4. Celebrate Latino Culture

The biggest Cinco de Mayo party around happens at Civic Center Park on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6. Festivities begin with a parade on Saturday at 11 a.m., and the rest of the schedule is jam-packed with live music and dance, food and drink vendors, contests and kids' activities. Admission is free for all guests and daily hours are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

5. Visit the Elephants

Toyota Elephant Passage is tops among the many fascinating exhibits at the Denver Zoo, which is modeled after a Kenyan nature preserve to display animals in their natural habitats. Take advantage of open feeding times, when zookeepers offer informative lectures about the animals being fed. Hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Tickets are $17 for general public and $12 for kids 3-11.

6. Shop an Urban Market

TheBigWonderful is a unique mash-up of urban marketplace and outdoor festival. These two-day weekend events include a wide selection of vendors selling handmade artwork and gift items, top local food trucks, a beerfest featuring regional brewers and some lively bluegrass music. Spring events are planned for May 5–6 in Denver and May 19–20 in Aurora. RSVP on the website for free general admission, or purchase passes for unlimited beverage sampling. Kids and leashed dogs are also welcome.
