Located at 3320 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, the brewery's tap room is open Tuesday through Sunday. Though the Twisted Vine Brewery has a variety of fun and quirky events -- such as Twisted Tunes and Game Night -- on a regular basis, they don't serve food so keep this in mind when planning your visit.

2. Confluence Brewing Company

Since 2011, Confluence Brewing Company has been brewing and serving their own beers right in their Des Moines warehouse and taproom. Open seven days a week, the taproom at Confluence Brewing Company provides visitors with flexible seating for groups of all sizes as well as a view of their brewing equipment. There's even dog-friendly seating out on their deck with easy access to the Gray's Lake bike trail. While they don't serve food, Confluence Brewing Company encourages you to bring your own or order from a nearby restaurant that offers delivery.

3. Flix Brewhouse

Feel like combining your brewery experience with a movie? If so, head over to Flix Brewhouse. Showing a mix of newer releases interspersed with events featuring classics, Flix Brewhouse also offers a full menu of burgers, sandwiches and appetizers to whet your appetite.
