You can have quite an adventure browsing these specialty shops for that perfect, one-of-a-kind item for your new Slidell apartment. There is something for everyone in these unique shops that are sprinkled throughout the city. Here are a few you won’t want to miss.

French Market's Flea Market

This flea market located in the French Market District is a great place to find just about anything. Vendors are there every day with items from all over the world. Whether you’re looking for jewelry, books, candles or collectibles, you're sure to enjoy hours browsing through all the different small stalls.

Fleur De Paris

If you’re looking for unique clothing that brings together the top styles and a whole lot of elegance, Fleur De Paris is an experience not to be missed. Bloomin' Deals Thrift Store
4645 Freret Street

If you’re looking for gently used brand name clothes, or all things Mardi Gras, Bloomin' Deals is a great place to visit. Located in the Uptown district, they also have furniture, housewares, books and more. The thrift store is run by the Junior League of New Orleans, with all proceeds benefiting the organization. You’ll get lots of great bargains while supporting your community—a win for everyone.

Garden District Book Shop

Want to learn more about the history of New Orleans, or get a unique take on Hurricane Katrina? Then check out the Garden District Book Shop. Located inside the historic 1884 Crescent City Roller Skating Rink, they carry a large collection of regional titles. They also have signed first editions and limited editions by many acclaimed writers. And of course, they carry several books by famous writer Anne Rice.
