Covington
Buster's Place Restaurant & Oyster Bar

If you're craving oysters near Springs at River Chase, there's no better choice than Buster's Place. The restaurant is located in the heart of historic Covington, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel right at home. You have to try the Gulf Oysters Po Boy or Jill's Crawfish Fettuccini. On Thursdays, they offer half-priced oysters between 2 and 9 p.m., and they have a different lunch special every day.
Don's Seafood
126 Lake Dr, Covington
If you're looking for something a bit more upscale, yet still quite approachable, head to Don's Seafood. They've been serving the New Orleans area since 1940, offering Cajun cuisine and delicious old fashioned cocktails. Favorites include the seafood gumbo and Don's seafood platter, which comes with stuffed crab, stuffed shrimp, fried catfish, oysters and more.
Don's offers great happy hour specials, like 2-for-1 margaritas and bloody Mary's. On Mondays from 5 to 9 p.m. they offer half-price oysters, and on Tuesdays they have boiled crawfish for $1.99 per pound.
Slidell
Southside Cafe

Located just minutes from Springs at Fremaux Town Center, Southside Cafe is a casual, family-owned restaurant that offers all of your Louisiana favorites. They're known for their starters which include remoulade sauce served with yellowfin tuna, fried crawfish or oysters. Guests also love the seafood platter, which comes stacked with oysters, gulf shrimp, catfish fillets and more. Southside Cafe offers a full bar, and they even offer online ordering so you can place your takeout order and ensure it's ready when you arrive.
Keith's Seafood
240 Ponchartrain Dr, Slidell
Stop by Keith's for a quick lunch or dinner on your way home from work. It's a very casual seafood market where you won't find anything fancy, but you will find loads of flavor. They're known for their overstuffed po boys, made with shrimp, oysters, or catfish. Their boiled crab seafood platters also have quite a following. Everything comes in Styrofoam containers, so you can dine in their little dining room or take it to-go.
Speckled T's
158 S Military Rd, Slidell
Speckled T's is a family-friendly restaurant with an awesome lunch buffet Monday through Friday. Their regular menu includes favorites like Redfish Imperial and crab cakes, along with oyster artichoke dip, which makes for the perfect starter. They often have live music in the evenings, and the colorful tables give the place an artistic vibe. Reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends.
