1. James E. Stewart Golf Course
824 Frederick Douglass Ave
Oklahoma City, OK 73117

Conveniently located just east of downtown OKC, the James E. Stewart Golf Course is a 9-hole course that appeals to beginner and intermediate golfers. Hole 8, especially, is known to be a fun challenge as the left side is guarded by trees and the right by a lake. There's also a newly built driving range and a pro shop on-site, so you can always stop in for a quick tune-up of your swing as well.

2. Lincoln Park Golf Course
4001 NE Grand Blvd
Oklahoma City, OK 73111-5400

Boasting two championship courses, Lincoln Park Golf Course is a good choice if you're seeking a more challenging game or really looking to test your skills. The par-71 west course starts with a long par 5 before opening up into a beautifully landscaped course set among rolling hills and babbling streams. The original 18 holes was built in 1922. In 2007 the East course was rebuilt and the West course was rebuilt in 1999.

3. Lake Hefner Golf Club
4491 S Lake Hefner Dr
Oklahoma City, OK 73116-1530

Both the shorter, 6,300-yard South Course and the longer, 7,000-yard North Course at Lake Hefner are considered to be quite challenging, but the scenery at this location makes this club a must-visit even for novice golfers. The course is dotted with numerous water hazards, and stunning red maples add a unique element of color to the background. The on-site restaurant offers daily lunch specials, and there are even lessons offered for beginners who want to improve their game.

4. Coffee Creek Golf Club
400 N Kelly Ave
Edmonton, OK 73003

Coffee Creek Golf Club is rated as one of the top 10 courses in Oklahoma by Golf Digest. The carefully crafted course offers views of a former horse ranch, a fair yet challenging par-70 layout, and multiple tees to accommodate all levels of golfers. The front 9 holes wind through rolling hills, while the back nine navigate through dense forest and tree-lined fairways.

5. Celebration Station
509 Westline Dr
Oklahoma City, OK 73108

If miniature golf is more your speed, spend an afternoon at Celebration Station, where you can play either 18 or 36 holes of miniature golf. Creatively designed obstacles make the course fun to navigate. This is a perfect place for a family outing.
