Start your kids off on a lifelong love of books with a visit to The Purple Chair. Owners Bill and Monique founded the store to honor the memory of their daughter Violet, naming it after her favorite reading spot. There is a section of books for grown-ups, but The Purple Chair is mainly for toddlers to young adults. Check out their schedule of events including storytime, art lessons and day camp. The Purple Chair is open Tuesday through Sunday. Visit the website for hours.
