Where to Celebrate the Big Game Not in a Bar

January 25, 2018

Super Bowl LII pits the Philadelphia Eagles against the New England Patriots in a showdown that's scheduled to start at 6:30 PM on Sunday, February 4th. Whether you're a diehard New England fan, the Eagles are your team or you simply want to get in on the celebration of the big game, you don't have to head out to a local bar and grill to enjoy yourself. When it comes to the Fort Myers area, you'll find diverse options for throwing your own Super Bowl party. Below are just a few ideas to get you started:

1. Centennial Park

Located at 2000 W. 1st Street in Fort Myers along the banks of the Caloosahatchee River, Centennial Park offers a diverse menu of features that lend themselves perfectly to a Super Bowl party. In addition to covered pavilions that can be reserved free for a maximum of three hours, Centennial Park also has boat docks and launching ramps, a volleyball court, a playground and is ADA accessible. Reservations for the covered pavilions must be made at least five working days in advance and the park closes at 10:30 PM.

2. Schandler Hall Community Park

In addition to a multi-purpose field, picnic area and shelter, Schandler Hall Community Park is also the site of Suarez Hall. This venue has seating for up to 100 people and can be rented for up to 12 consecutive hours. Open flames, alcohol and smoking are prohibited in Suarez Hall. Schandler Hall Community Park and Suarez Hall are open to the public and close at 9 PM.
