Summer_fun_Tulsa.jpgIf you're a Springs at Woodlands South resident, you're probably planning on spending the bulk of your free time this summer by our resort-style pool or taking advantage of our outdoor kitchen and grill with friends. However, if you're looking for a change of pace, there are a number of fun and affordable things to do in Tulsa this summer near our apartment community. Here are four recommendations:

1. Food Truck Wednesdays
Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Guthrie Green, 111 East Matthew B. Brady St

Need a change of pace during your lunch hour? Come check out the great lineup of food trucks at Guthrie Green where you can score some amazing eats like Meltdown gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and Lola's Gypsy Caravan. Pair that with fresh air and live music and you've got an outstanding lunch break!

2. Summer's Fifth Night at Utica Square
Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Utica Square, 21st St and Utica

This free Tulsa summer concert series is back, featuring live performances from local musicians. Attendees can win prizes such as Utica Square gift certificates and merchandise, and can grab food from Utica Square restaurants while enjoying their favorite local bands.

3. Slide the City
Saturday, June 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
1630 Main St

Back by popular demand, Tulsa is lining Main Street with its 1,000-foot slip n' slide! For a small price (from $10 to $40), you can feel like a kid again as you take on this enormous water slide. However, spectating can be just as fun and is completely free!

4. CYPHER 120 Live Music and Slam Poetry
Mondays from 9:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The Yeti, 417 N Main St

This weekly event has quickly become one of Tulsa's coolest nightlife events, featuring live music, slam poetry, and a DJ. The event takes place in downtown Tulsa at the Yeti, which has a great outdoor patio that is perfect for enjoying a summer night.
