April 19, 2016

Tacos_Bradenton_Sarasota.jpgWhether it's Taco Tuesday or you just have a hankering for something spicy, you’ll find a number of tasty taco joints in and around our Springs Apartments communities in Bradenton and Sarasota. To make sure you’re spending your money on the best tacos in the region, we have compiled a list of four of the top options in our area.

Poppo's Taqueria
6777 Manatee Ave West

Known for its "gourmet Mexican street food," Poppo's Taqueira allows you to build your own custom taco with everything you want in it. Make it spicy or mild and enjoy a rich mix of hot and cold toppings as well as the peace of mind that comes with antibiotic-and hormone-free meats. All foods are made from wholesome ingredients, and you can taste the difference in every bite. Poppo's Taqueria has two Bradenton locations that are just a short drive from Springs at Braden River as well as locations in University Park and Maria.

Julio Tumatoe's Mexicali Border Cafe
5502 Cortez Rd West

Since 1987, the Mexicali Border Cafe has been serving up fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine. This Bradenton icon—less than a five minute drive from Springs at Palma Sola—is known for its Top Shelf Tacos, including a fish taco option as well as more traditional pork, steak or chicken options. Find a wide range of variety as you choose your favorite at the Mexicali Border Cafe.

Fuzzy's Taco Shop
2515 University Parkway

About a 15-20 minute drive from Springs at Bee Ridge, Fuzzy's Taco Shop offers authentic Mexican flavor from a restaurant that has its base in Fort Worth, Texas. This particular restaurant serves up "baja style" tacos that are topped with feta and a signature sauce. The tacos are quite addicting at this Sarasota icon, but that's just fine since Fuzzy's works hard to keep prices reasonable for their signature tacos.

Mr. Tequila Cantina
3969 Cattlemen Rd

For authentic Mexican flavors less than a half mile from Springs at Bee Ridge, consider Mr. Tequila. Here you’ll be surrounded by bold Mexican colors while you dine on your favorite taco options. Top it off with the restaurant's namesake —tequila—for the full Mr. Tequila Cantina experience.
