With the weather growing colder, it's the perfect time to catch a great film with your friends or family members. The Aurora and Romeoville areas are home to several great theaters where you can enjoy a lovely afternoon or evening immersed in a thrilling movie — check out the following four:
When you see a movie at iPic Theaters, you’re immersed in luxury. Each theater has a premium section with plush leather seats and tables, so you can carry in food from the on-site restaurant or even have it delivered right to your seat. The small theater only seats up to 80 guests, so you can catch movies like Almost Christmas, Arrival, Doctor Strange, and more in a relaxed setting.
Hollywood Boulevard Cinema is a dinner theater where you are seated on a terrace and your food and beverages are delivered to you throughout the show. Standard adult admission is just $8 with food orders priced separately; choose from sandwiches, gourmet pizzas, beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. Stop in for half-price buckets of beer on Mondays, or $5 Rat Pack Classic Martinis on Thursdays. You can even catch The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the big screen every Saturday at midnight!
This classic theater has been updated to include comfortable stadium seating and digital projection. You can print your ticket at home, display it on your smartphone, or pick it up at the convenient self-service kiosk inside the theater. Some great films to catch in November and December include Moana, a family-friendly, animated action film, and Kidnap, a thriller that follows a mother trying to rescue her kidnapped son.
Hollywood Palms Cinema plays both new releases and classic films. With dining and drink service in the theater, every day brings a different special, from half-price wine on Wednesdays to half-price margarita pitchers on Tuesdays. On Saturday, December 10, the theater is hosting Breakfast with Santa, an annual event where kids and adults can enjoy a breakfast buffet, classic holiday cartoons, and a screening of The Polar Express.
Whether you're a dedicated movie buff or prefer to just catch the big hits, these theaters are sure to provide a memorable experience.
