It’s Corpus Christi Fun for Kids (be sure to Like them to get regular updates and news) and we picked some of the upcoming fun events to share with you and your family. Be sure to check them out!

Friday, July 4th

Picnic and Fireworks at the Texas State Aquarium

Fireworks at Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History

These are two of the best ways to enjoy Independence Day. Both of these venues are encouraging families to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks displays. Both will be serving food and beverages; both charge a small fee. From either location you should be able to see all the amazing fireworks – from Harbor Bridge, Whataburger Field and those put on by the city.

Wednesday, July 23rd

Batman Day

Have a little Batman fan in the family? Comics Plus is helping celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Dark Night with free comic books and plenty of cool collectibles for sale.

Friday, July 25th

Caravan Corpus Christi

To celebrate the Spurs win in the NBA Finals, get your clan to Whataburger Field to congratulate the team and get your picture taken with the NBA Championship Trophies, meet The Coyote, Silver Dancers and much more.

June through August

Family Movie & Popcorn Nights

The Aquarium at Rockport Harbor presents free family-friendly movies throughout the summer, and plenty of popcorn, too. Check out their Facebook page for upcoming movies and times. The Aquarium also holds craft and activity sessions every Saturday from 10:00am to noon (also free!) for kids 6 and older. Upcoming sessions are June 21 and July 5 and 19.

All year ‘round

Neuces County Library System

We have a fantastic library system, and their staff is always thinking of creative ways to engage and inspire kids. Check them out on Facebook for a complete calendar of upcoming events like the summer reading book fair, Mad Scientist Monday, movies, crafts and much, much more. This is a terrific resource for parents!

These are just a few of the latest events designed for families. Let us know how you like to keep the kids entertained and we’ll share our favorites in upcoming posts!
