When you're too tired to cook, but you really don't feel like venturing out to a restaurant, takeout is the perfect solution. Thankfully, whether you're craving Chinese food, pizza or something completely different, there are plenty of delicious takeout options in the Longmont and Johnstown areas.
1. Spicy House
401 3rd Ave, Longmont
Just minutes from Springs at Sandstone Ranch, this Asian fusion restaurant offers Thai and Chinese options. Try the Hunan chicken or a plate of beef chow mein, both of which are very flavorful and well seasoned. Spicy House offers plenty of vegetarian options, from vegetable pad Thai to broccoli and cashews. You can place your order online, and there's a $12 minimum for delivery.
2. Dickey's Barbecue Pit
1935 Main St, Longmont
Barbecue may not sound like the most likely of takeout options, but Dickey's offers amazing pulled pork, sausages, smoked chicken, brisket and more. You can order meat by the quarter pound, or opt for one of the barbecue plates or sandwiches. Even the sides are exceptional, from the macaroni and cheese to the Idaho russet potato salad. Order online, and your order will be ready for pickup within minutes.
3. Rosalee's Pizzeria
461 Main St, Longmont
Many believe Rosalee's Pizzeria to be the best pizza place in Longmont, and perhaps in the whole state. They are an East Coast-style pizzeria with a friendly, neighborly vibe, and they use the highest quality ingredients, from the flour to the cheese. Guests love the signature pizzas, like their Bacon & Ricotta Pie. If you're following a gluten-free diet, try the Polenta Pie, made entirely with gluten-free ingredients and a polenta crust.
Rosalee's takes takeout orders on the phone and in person, but they do only have two ovens, so they can get busy on the weekends. Place your order early; it's well worth the wait.
4. Kobe Sushi
1569 Fall River Dr, Loveland
If you're craving sushi but want to dine in the comfort of your own living room, Kobe Sushi is the perfect choice. They offer super fresh rolls and sashimi, along with teriyaki entrees, udon noodles, and tempura appetizers. The portions are generous and fairly priced, and the service is quick. Call to place your order; it will be packed up and ready at the counter when you arrive.
5. El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant
1499 W Eisenhower Blvd, Loveland
Just a quick drive from Springs at 2534, El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant offers all of the Mexican classics, from tacos to burritos.
