Want to get to know your new city? One of the best ways to familiarize yourself with Denver is to experience the many microbreweries in the Mile High City.
Residents of our Springs at Sandstone Ranch and Springs at 2534 apartments need to include the following Denver microbreweries on their fall to-do lists:
1. Left Hand Brewing Company
1265 Boston Ave, Longmont
303.772.0258
Do you have family and friends coming into town for the holidays? Taking them to experience Left Hand Brewing Company is a no-brainer. Even if you have someone in your group that isn't much of a beer drinker, he or she will enjoy the ambiance of this Longmont microbrewery. The beer selection tends to be on the darker/heavier side, which works well during the fall and winter months. Two must-try beers include the Milk Stout Nitro and the Sawtooth Ale.
2. Wibby Brewing
209 Emery St, Longmont
303.776.4594
Do you appreciate good live music and even better craft beer? Then you'll love Wibby Brewing, which offers one of the best selections of craft beer and live music in Longmont. This microbrewery specializes in making German-style lagers, and local favorites include the Double Dunkel and Lightshine Helles. Another bonus is that Wibby Brewing is dog-friendly and offers a spacious patio for you and your pup to enjoy a cold brew.
3. Oskar Blues Brewery
1800 Pike Rd, Longmont
303.776.1914
You can find a little slice of everything at Oskar Blues Brewery, from exceptional craft beers to some of the best eats in the Denver area. Step into the tasting room and try some out-of-the-box beers such as Old Chub Scotch Ale and Little Yellow Pils. If it's a nice day, you can bring your pup with you and enjoy your beer on the brewery's outdoor patio. The kids can come too and be entertained for hours on the brewery's outdoor playground. Onsite restaurants offer the perfect pairings for your beer, such as burgers, wings and ribs.
4. Dad & Dudes Breweria
6730 S Cornerstar Way, Suite D, Aurora
303.400.5699
Dad & Dudes Breweria wins the best craft beer and handcrafted pizza award for the South Denver area. While the beer selection is not large, the establishment focuses on quality over quantity. You can't go wrong by ordering the Dank IPA. Even if you're not a lover of fruity beers, the Pineapple Express will exceed your expectations. If you plan on eating a spicy pizza, calm the fire in your mouth with a Toffee Porter.
5. Peak to Peak Tap & Brew
16701 E Iliff Ave, Aurora
720.446.8714
It's hard to find an establishment that offers exceptional craft beer and a quality selection of food, and Peak to Peak Tap & Brew takes the ticket. Favorite beers include 10 Speed Wit and Sternewirth APA. Regulars can join the Mug Club for a $100 one-time fee and receive discounts on beer and a custom ceramic beer stein.
