We've put together a handy guide to some of the top neighborhood sites and attractions for your reference.

Parks

Minnesota is one of the top states for outdoor activities. Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is a serene wilderness area with biking and cross-country skiing trails, while Scott Park features a unique archery range as well as tennis courts. Bloomington Dog Park and Jean and Carl Frank Canine Park are beautiful pet-friendly sites where your beloved pooch can romp freely.

Libraries

In 2015, Minneapolis supplanted Washington, D.C. as America's Most Literate City in USA Today's annual rankings, with St. Paul close behind at #4. Savage Library, Galaxie Library and Rochester Public Library are rich resources for hard-cover and ebooks as well as free classes, workshops, and activities like film screenings and book clubs.

Movie Theaters

Whether you're on an outing with the kids or a romantic date night, a trip to the movies is a great choice for both. Regal Eagan Stadium 16 and Paragon Chateau 14 show the latest Hollywood offerings and family-friendly films. If you're looking for a total sensory experience, head to the IMAX Theater at the Minnesota Zoo for blockbuster films and stunning nature documentaries.

Shopping

All of our Springs Twin Cities and Rochester communities are within easy distance from the best shopping in the country at the iconic Mall of America. You can find bargain prices on name brands like Old Navy, Nike and Armani at Twin Cities Premium Outlets. Enjoy a mix of top national retailers and boutique-type independent stores at Shops at University Square, which has skyway access to Mayo Clinic, Mayo Civic Center, and Hilton and Kahler Hotels.

Transportation

The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) provides public transportation for seven areas, including Savage and Apple Valley. Through its partnership with other regional transit organizations, the MVTA provides links to travel throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Rochester has its own public transit system serving the local area.

Restaurants

Take a break from cooking and relax over a delicious meal at one of the variety of Twin Cities and Rochester restaurants. Grab a beer to go with the signature Baltimore pit beef BBQ at Valley Tap House or enjoy a light lunch in the art-filled ambiance of Zumbro River Café. Expand your culinary horizons at Kyoto Japanese Restaurant or Pho Châu. Pick up some tasty take-out pizza or subs at Davanni's or Valentino's.
