No city in the United States is as rich in tradition as New Orleans, and second line parades are some of the most cherished celebrations. These processions are descended from jazz funerals and named after the brass band and colorfully dressed marchers that followed the "first line" of the hearse and family members. The Father's Day parade is scheduled for June 18 from 2 to 6 p.m. Check the website for route details.
