networking-in-oklahoma-cityDoes meeting new people for lively conversation over dinner or drinks sound like work? Those are the perks of networking, the most useful activity for building professional and personal relationships. We have laid the groundwork for you by finding some of the best networking groups in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma StrengthsFinder Network

This group operates a bit differently from most networking organizations. Instead of centering on lead exchanges and other business elements, StrengthsFinder focuses on personal development and building your own individual talents. Their approach is based on the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment from noted research company Gallup. Brown-bag meetings are held on the second Monday of each month.

STEP Toastmasters

Did you know that public speaking ranks as the number one fear of most adults, surpassing even fear of flying and claustrophobia? Build your confidence and leadership abilities with Speech Training for Emerging Professionals (STEP) Toastmasters. Meetings are held each Tuesday evening, giving you a chance to socialize over dinner before getting down to business.

OKC Breakfast Club

Jump-start your day by sharing coffee and muffins with other professionals over a discussion of digital marketing. Topics include social media, technology, arts and music, and community events. Meetings are scheduled bright and early every other Wednesday.

Nine & Wine

Many a business relationship has been forged on the golf course. That's the concept behind this unique networking group that gathers once a month to play nine holes and enjoy some good wine. Not much of a golfer? Not a problem. Games are played best-ball format so you don't need to be an expert. Meeting fee is $35 and includes greens fees, cart and wine.

There is no rule that limits you to one group. Try them all and see which one fits. Maybe you'll end up enjoying all of them! If you belong to a networking group, please share your experience in the comments.
