Take-Out_Restaurants_Rochester.jpgWhile it can be a lot of fun to dine at the wide variety of restaurants around Rochester, sometimes you just want to enjoy a meal at home—but not have to cook it yourself. Luckily, there are a number of great restaurants near Springs at South Broadway with take-out menus. Check out the following five:

1. Nupa Mediterranean Cuisine
1035 Civic Center Dr NW
507-206-5044

If you're looking for the perfect Greek salad or have gyros on your mind, you absolutely must give Nupa Mediterranean Cuisine a try. Nupa is just shy of a mile away from the Mayo Clinic and they prove that great take-out food does not have to be unhealthy through its range of great entrees like the chicken kabobs and grilled veggies. Don't get us wrong, though. You can definitely push the limits of your diet here with either a gyro smothered in tzatziki sauce or the baklava.

2. Pho Chau
1014 N Broadway
507-281-3342

Everyone needs a good go-to pho restaurant, and our residents will appreciate the convenience of Pho Chau. This Vietnamese take-out restaurant will give you everything you ever wanted and more, from outstanding lo-mein to crab wontons. You really can't go wrong with a good bowl of pho either. Delivery is not an option at this restaurant, but pick-up is.

3. The Half Barrel
304 1st Ave SW
507-405-0349

If classic American food is your source of comfort, you need to give The Half Barrel a try for your next take-out meal. Popular entrees include the mac and cheese (you can add steak, crab, or chicken), the Barrel Burger, and the prime rib sandwich. If you’re ready for a large portion size, this is definitely the place for you.

4. La Poblana
1121 Civic Center Dr NW
507-292-7791

After just one try, you'll work La Poblana into your regular take-out routine. The food at this Mexican restaurant is fresh, authentic, and tasty. While the menu is short and concise, you really can't go wrong with your order. If you're feeling extra hungry, order the taco platter as the portion is enormous. For the non meat-eaters, give the vegetarian Burrito Bandera a try.

5. City Market
212 1st Ave SW
507-536-4748

As soon as you step foot in the door, you'll quickly notice that City Market is the local hotspot for the Mayo Clinic. It's arguably the best sandwich shop in town, and as the weather gets cooler, the restaurant's fresh soups are the perfect compliment to your sandwich. It's important to note that this restaurant closes at 3 p.m., so bookmark it for a to-go lunch spot instead of a place to grab dinner.
