Look for the following four St. Patty's Day celebrations:
1. St. Patrick's Day Block Party
Fort Myers River District (1st and Hendry St, Fort Myers)
Join in the fun at the St. Patrick's Day Block Party. All ages are welcome to attend this annual party from 6 to 11 p.m. Darts for prizes and Cornhole games run from 6 to 8 p.m., along with Irish music and the following lineup of musical artists:
Visiting Fitzgerald's Famous Pub is a treat any day of the year, but you won't want to miss their St. Paddy's Day Party on March 17. Be sure to call early for reservations: VIP seating is limited, and there will be outdoor parties in both parking lots.
Fitzgerald's will have live bands all day long, bagpipes at 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and Irish Dancers at 3 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. There will even be a drawing for a free trip to Ireland, but you must be present to win! You'll love Fitzgerald's Irish menu, which includes corned beef & cabbage, Irish bangers, whiskey salmon, and 18 beers on tap.
3. British Open Pub
24630 U.S. 41, Bonita Springs
The owners of British Open Pub believe that people are the heart and soul of any pub — you'll find warmth, character, and friends at this local haunt, and if you haven't yet made a visit, why not stop in for a pint of Guinness on St. Patrick's Day, even if it is a British pub?
Fish & Chips are a house specialty, and you can enjoy them on the outside patio or a comfortable booth inside. You can also try British Open Pub's Sandwedges, Cornish Pastie, Cottage Pie, and Lamb Shanks. British Open offers two full-service bars where you can find Guinness Stout, Irish Ale, Harp Lager, Strongbow Cider, and more.
4. St. Pat's Day at Ft. Myers Beach
Fort Myers Beach
The United Irish and the American Legion have teamed up to create a St. Patrick's Day event for the whole community. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the American Legion parking lot on Buttonwood St, and concludes at The Church of the Ascension. Afterwards, grab some lunch at the Parrot Key restaurant, and listen to Irish music and entertainer Brian Bonner.
