This conveniently located downtown market has been serving Fort Myers since 1994. You'll find fruits and vegetables, flowers and plants, seafood, coffee and smoothies, and even doggie treats being sold by the 16 participating vendors. New additions this year include Herbeque BBQ, Island Botanicals and French Bread Oven. The market is located under the Caloosahatchee Bridge in Centennial Park and hours are every Thursday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. year-round.

Alliance for the Arts GreenMarket

This market held on the campus of Alliance for the Arts is part of a network of farmers markets operated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Community Services. Their "Fresh from Florida" program provides facilities where local growers and producers can make their products directly available to consumers. If you have some tomato plants or fruit trees in the back yard, bartering is welcome. Other activities include free yoga classes, live musical entertainment and cooking demonstrations. Hours are every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

You'll love the friendly, down-home feel at this charming 50-acre hydroponic farm and country store. Available products include fresh eggs, local honey, potatoes, carrots, blueberries, heirloom tomatoes and much more. Buckingham Farms was the site of one of the first peach orchards in Lee County, and more than 400 peach trees still stand on the north side. Plan enough time on your visit to try one of the delicious meals served in their restaurant. Lunch is served during the week, dinner on Fridays and breakfast on Saturdays.
