The Apple Valley Market is an offshoot of the Saint Paul Farmers' Market, which dates back to the city's first public market in 1854. All produce is from local vendors and specialty products are made with local ingredients wherever possible. You'll also find flowers and plants for your apartment as well as herb and veggies starters for your own at-home garden. The market is open every Saturday through October 28 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition to providing a wide selection of high-quality local produce and food products, the Prior Lake Farmers' Market serves as a community gathering place where neighbors can spend time together. Linger over a cup of java from the organic coffee booth or enjoy authentic Mexican food from the El Jefe food truck while listening to live music. Market hours are 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday through October.
The Bloomington Farmers' Market focuses on giving consumers an opportunity to meet and talk directly with the farmers and growers who are actually producing the food items they purchase. Each week there are also one to three non-selling booths staffed by organizations educating visitors on leading a healthier lifestyle. Local folk, country and bluegrass musicians provide live entertainment between 10 a.m. and noon. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through October 21.
