Tax Refund - Orange Button on Computer Keyboard. Internet Concept.Whether you completed your returns in January, last month or today—or maybe you plan to wait until the April 17 deadline for completion and submission—you deserve to celebrate. You've gotten one of the most dreaded and anxiety-riddled tasks that hard-working taxpayers face each out of the way, so make sure you find something special.

4 Things to Do in Apple Valley and Savage to Celebrate the End to Another Tax Season!

Our Springs team came up with a few of our favorite things to do in Savage and Apple Valley to blow off some steam after tangling with the old federal, state and local tax matters. Take a look at our four favorite places to go, things to do and treats to eat for your well-earned break.

1. Strike Another Tax Season from Your Memory at Bogart's Entertainment Center in Apple Valley

A couple of games of bowling might go a long way in helping you unwind after you submit your tax returns. It's a chance to get up, stretch, move around and laugh with friends. What's not to love! Even better, Bogart's Entertainment Center is less than a mile from our Springs at Apple Valley in Apple Valley luxury apartments via 147th Street West. If bowling isn't your sport, try out sand volleyball or shoot some pool. And what would a bowling alley be without snacks and refreshments. Visit the bar for a large selection of beer and wine to help take the edge off while waiting on your food order.

2. Power Down and Take in a Movie

If you relish the idea of powering down your brain for a few hours while letting a good movie take over, AMC Classic Apple Valley 14 is just under two miles from our luxury apartments in Apple Valley MN. You can always visit concessions to get a soft drink or something a little stronger before kicking back in your recliner and enjoying the show.

3. Escape into Nature at Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve

A little dose of glorious nature can restore your sense of peace and calm after dealing with the stress of gathering receipts and filling out forms. A visit to Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is the perfect antidote to frustration of doing taxes, and it is only 10 miles from our Springs at Egan Drive in Savage near Prior Lake. Just a few of the many activities available include hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, golf and so much more.

4. Leave the Tax Season Blues in the Dust with Some Indoor Racing

We often recommend ProKART Indoor Racing to residents in our apartments for rent in Savage if they need to blow off a little steam. And at just over three miles from home, it's an easy trek there and back. It's all Arrive and Drive, so you don't need to worry about making a reservation.

Some Taxpayers Just Want to Settle In and Simmer Down at Home in Their Savage or Apple Valley Apartment Community

Don't forget one of the very best ways to recover at the end of tax season is to get comfortable at home. Our cozy-yet-spacious apartments give you the chance to dial everything back while sitting on your patio or balcony, looking at the scenic views and sipping your favorite beverage after a trip to the leash-free dog park with your best friend. We also recommend spending some quality time in our 24-hour fitness center or resort-style swimming pool work out any remaining angst.

If none of these ideas strike your fancy, let us know, and we'll be more than happy to share the rest of our "tax breaks" with you.
