Tacos_SWF.jpgCraving tacos? Residents of Springs at Gulf Coast and Springs at Six Mile Cypress are fortunate to live near a variety of restaurants with an excellent selection. Next time that taco craving hits, make your way to one of the following eateries.

1. Taco Vazquez
21481 S Tamiami Trail

Taco Vazquez is inside a gas station, but don't let that deter you. They serve excellent tacos, Mexican Coke, nachos supreme, enchiladas, and more, and you'll find that the food is very fresh and very well priced—many of the tacos are only $.99. If you're running late in the morning, stop in and grab Taco Vazquez’s signature breakfast burrito on your way to work.

2. Tijuana Flats
8350 Hospital Dr

At Tijuana Flats, you can get two tacos for $5, and you get to eat in a kitschy dining room with muraled walls. They also have an extensive hot sauce bar so you can flavor your food just exactly how you like it. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and if you have food allergies, you'll definitely appreciate the allergen information they have posted online.

3. Huarache Loco Grille
19630 S Tamiami Trail

This family-run restaurant has daily specials and large portions. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the dining area is neat and clean. You'll find interesting options on the menu like the tacos pastor with pineapple and vanilla bread, along with an array of homemade juices. It's a small place with an inconspicuous sign, so look for it carefully!

4. Taco Viva
18911 S Tamiami Trail, Suite 17

If you're hungry for fish tacos, stop in to Taco Viva. This mom-and-pop business offers authentic Latin food from all over. It's a small place with just five or six tables, making it perfect for an afternoon lunch or an impromptu dinner. Tacos are just $1, so you can get your fill without making much of a dent in your wallet. In addition to typical Mexican menu items like tamales, tacos, and burritos, they also offer a few Greek items such as gyros and baklava.

5. Cantina 109
9908 Gulf Coast Main St, C-125

This Tex-Mex bar and grill offers chips and salsa, fajitas, and tacos as well as margaritas, tequila, and Mexican beers.
