Maintenance Appreciation Week 2022

October 20, 2022

Continental Properties is celebrating Maintenance Appreciation Week, where team members take time to pause and demonstrate how much we appreciate our maintenance teams and all they do for our communities. Shown through the impact they make on our residents, our maintenance team members play a vital role in Continental's mission of building communities that enhance people’s lives. To honor our behind-the-scenes heroes, office team members hosted a variety of fun activities highlighted below.

To start the week, office team members served our maintenance team breakfast! Springs at Live Oak enjoyed their favorite coffee and pastries, while Springs at Bettendorf had waffles, eggs, and bacon as a strong start to the day!

Our team members decorated the maintenance golf carts and surprised our maintenance teams with gift baskets filled with their favorite snacks and drinks! Pictured is Authentix Quincy Street’s maintenance team with their decked-out golf carts.

One day, office team members played a "day in the life" of our maintenance team to allow our maintenance team members to get a head start on their day. Office team members wore maintenance uniforms and completed tasks that included cleaning up the community grounds, emptying pet stations, and tidying up the dumpster area. The team at Springs at Port Orange had a great time swapping roles for a few hours!

Maintenance team members competed against each other in our “Minute to Win It” game day. The games included transferring candies to a plate using only a straw, stacking as many pennies as possible in one minute, and knocking over a pyramid of cups using air from a balloon!

Later in the week, our offices closed so team members could enjoy lunch and spend some quality time with our maintenance team. The Springs at Cape Coral team enjoyed their favorite fast food restaurant together!

Kind Words From Our Residents

Our maintenance team members go Above and Beyond every day for their residents, and their efforts show through the positive feedback and appreciation they receive from our customers. Here are a few examples of what our residents have to say about our devoted maintenance team members:

“Maintenance is on it! Very responsive, efficient, and respectful to your home! I would highly recommend these apartment homes”. - Springs at Lakeline resident

“Maintenance: 5/5. Superb. They go above and beyond. They are super responsive and helpful. From day 1, maintenance was clutch! They will help you put together your furniture, help you with your car, and manually unlock your detached garage at 7 a.m. after a power outage.” - Springs at Knapps Crossing resident

“The maintenance here is always top-notch, on time, and efficient. We are so glad that we have the privilege of staying here!” - Springs at Laurens Road resident

"I am extremely impressed by the maintenance staff - Victor, Adam, and Dan. .When I first moved in, Victor was helpful from the beginning by assisting the staff during my walk-through. We chatted a bit, and I instantly felt comfortable. Adam was SUPER amazing! He’s talkative, informative, and has a great personality! When I had an issue, he came back an hour later to make sure I was taken care of. Thanks, Adam! Dan was also very helpful with my issue and explained everything thoroughly. He also provided me with some items to help the issue in case it occurs again."Springs at Oswego resident

“Whenever I have a maintenance issue and put in a work order, things get taken care of right away. Tim is a really nice guy and always ensures that he handles issues properly and with the residents’ best interest in mind.” - Springs at Six Mile Cypress resident
