Celebrating Our Maintenance Teams: Maintenance Appreciation Week 2021

October 27, 2021

Last week was Maintenance Appreciation Week at Continental Properties. Our communities took the week to celebrate and show their appreciation for our maintenance team members. Each day of the week, our maintenance teams members were celebrated. Our maintenance team members work hard to maintain our communities and ensure our residents have the best living experience. Here are some of the celebrations from last week:

Bettendorf Maintenance AppreciationOur onsite office team members hosted several activities to celebrate Maintenance Appreciation Week. Throughout the week, our teams surprised their hardworking maintenance teams with breakfast! This was a great way for the team to bond and enjoy a hearty meal to start the day. Pictured to the right is our Springs at Bettendorf team enjoying their breakfast.

One of the activities included our office teams decorating the maintenance golf carts. The golf carts were decorated with signs, balloons, and streamers to show their appreciation towards their maintenance teams. Robert and Chris from Springs at La Grange felt like superheroes all week with their golf carts!

In addition to the decorated golf carts, our maintenance teams also received gift baskets filled with their favorite treats and gadgets. Frank and Dustin from Springs at Six Mile Cypress can be seen below with their gift baskets.

Another activity
involved our office and maintenance team members switching roles for the morning. Our office team members wore our maintenance uniforms and completed minor work orders including cleaning up the community grounds, emptying pet stations, and tidying up the dumpster area, while our maintenance team took over assisting residents in the office and on the phone. Our Springs at Egan Drive team enjoyed swapping roles!

McKinney Maintenance Appreciation Week
Maintenance team members went up against each other to battle in our “Minute to Win It”   game day. Each team member completed three Minute to Win It games throughout the day. The games included stacking Oreos to create a tower, using a   spray bottle to guide a floating balloon toward a trash can, and knocking over a pyramid of cups using air from a balloon! Pictured to the left is our Springs at McKinney team building their Oreo towers!

Our maintenance teams go above and beyond every day for their residents. Here are a few examples of what our residents have to say about our hardworking maintenance team members:

“The Springs at McKinney maintenance team is fantastic! Super courteous, professional, and responsive. They help make this a great place to live.” – Springs at McKinney Resident

“We want to send a special shout-out to the maintenance team here. When it was realized that we had the wrong size fridge in our apartment, Josh went out of his way to get the replacement quickly and have it swapped out. Josh and his team were professional and efficient getting the new fridge installed. Getting a big refrigerator up the stairs is never easy, and there was a small scuff on the wall that occurred. Greg not only fixed that scuff, but on his own initiative cheerfully fixed a few other scuffs from our own move-in while he was at it. “I already have the paint can open, so why not?” This is truly next-level service. We have lived in apartment complexes all over the country and we’ve never encountered a maintenance team so dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction. Josh has been a great help in other issues as well, and the nicest thing is that he and his team are very accessible while on the grounds in every way.” – Springs at Hibiscus Crossing Resident

“Dan with maintenance did a great job with our work order on the apartment. He was quick to answer the call & did the repair in a timely manner! Very polite as well 100% would recommend. I feel reassured that if we ever have future maintenance needs for the apartment we would be in good hands.” – Springs at Eagle Bend Resident

”The best of the best can be found in the maintenance team; they really do rock. I didn't have many but the couple of items I needed help with were immediately taken care of and they were not only professional but extremely knowledgeable. LOVE my maintenance team.” – Springs at South Elgin Resident

Maintenance Appreciation Week may only be 5 days long, but we appreciate our maintenance team members every day! We are so thankful for the dedication and hard work they put into providing our residents a 5-star living experience and ensuring our communities run smoothly.
